Education and Skills Management
Strategic organizational and personnel development is increasingly critical as a competitive advantage for companies and organizations. The objective of this endeavor is to develop the most valuable resource — the employees and their skills — and to use them as efficiently as possible.
The master’s degree course in Education and Skills Management at DUW is oriented after the new, complex demands that are placed on those responsible for staff development and education in businesses, government agencies and organizations. The master’s degree programme teaches you the necessary knowledge and equips you with the necessary methods and instruments to adapt education and skills management to a variety of corporate structures, and to implement them in your specific professional environment.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course you will be able to transfer the latest developments in the theory of education and learning to your company’s day-to-day activity, and to utilize them for your specific educational and personnel development duties. You will acquire all the prerequisites for the structural and strategic development of corporate educational and staff development systems. In the process — from the development of a concept to its realization and evaluation — you will adapt theories and instruments to the specific organization or company concerned. In addition, you will acquire or expand your expertise in teaching and learning, so that you are able to communicate specialized and interdisciplinary subject matter professionally within the company. The master’s degree programme in Education and Skills Management enables you to create “communities of practice” within your company and beyond, and hence to organize and reflect your action independently in the organizational environment.
