Knowledge Management
Working with Knowledge and Skills
In knowledge-based societies, professional knowledge management is a prerequisite for success. The better a business or organization is able to care for its knowledge resources and knowledge owners, and support its employees in building their knowledge handling skills, the more successful it will be in reacting to change and initiating innovative processes.
Knowledge management is closely related to the individual and collective ability to learn: it can be used to realize both personal and organizational learning. Hence it contributes to the lifelong learning of individuals and groups, and to continuous processes of improvement in businesses and organizations.
The certificate programme in Knowledge Management focuses on models, methods and instruments for the systematic shaping and direction of knowledge processes in businesses and organizations. You will examine the requirements for your personal knowledge management as well as knowledge management from the point of view of your company or organization, and acquire pertinent skills for your professional practice. In this way you will prepare for management responsibilities and learn to use the methods of knowledge management effectively in the context of operational activities.

Furthermore, you will be able to identify advantageous conditions in specific situations for the development of a learning organization through the combination of individual and organizational learning.
